Michelle Parfitt Honored in Washingtonian Magazine
We are pleased and proud to announce that our own Michelle A. Parfitt was named to Washingtonian Magazine’s Top Lawyers of 2013.
Ms. Parfitt, a senior partner, has dedicated her career to fighting for the rights of people who cannot fight for themselves. In her 31 years as an attorney, Ms. Parfitt has become a leader in Mass Tort litigation, focusing on pharmaceutical and medical device cases. As one of the leaders of Ashcraft & Gerel’s Mass Tort group, Michelle has worked on some noteworthy cases over the years. An example of such a case is the 2010 mine explosion in West Virginia. The disaster was the biggest mining disaster in four decades with a death toll of 29. More recently, Ms. Parfitt, along with senior partner Christopher V. Tisi, secured a multi-million dollar settlement for a client rendered completely immobile by a faulty MRI contrast dye.
