A&G Attorneys Attend Annual NOVA Labor Dinner
NOVA Labor Dinner- May 2, 2014
Six of our attorneys, Larry Pascal, Ginny Diamond, Samuel Lynn, Pauline Khamo, Sara Anderson, and Stephanie Gardner were honored to attend this year’s Northern Virginia Tribute to Labor Dinner. This is an annual event sponsored by the AFL-CIO of northern Virginia.
American Federation of Government Employees President J. David Cox rallied the audience after accepting his award. Congressman Jim Moran, who is retiring, was recognized for his years of service in Congress. Surprise awards for their NOVA Labor work went to Deborah Quinn and George Hickey of Letter Carriers Local 3520. Laborers Local 11 also received recognition for the fine job it has done with political action and organizing. The attendees stood and applauded for the Bestway Supermercado workers who won a first contract with UFCW Local 400 after a courageous organizing drive.
Linda Lawrence of IBEW Local 26 and Dolores Trevino-Gerber of the Communications Workers of America received appreciation for their hard work in organizing the dinner.
As a firm, A&G is a strong supporter of the labor movement. Ginny Diamond is counsel to the Northern Virginia Labor Federation as well as the Virginia AFL-CIO and the Virginia Building Trades Council.
We were honored to have attended the awards dinner and look forward to continuing to advocate for the interests of working people and their unions.
