Aggressive, articulate, and always up for a challenge, Samuel Lynn makes it his mission to protect the rights of his clients. Mr. Lynn is a proven litigator with enviable track record. Since joining Ashcraft & Gerel in 2007, he’s been recognized more than once by Metro Verdicts Monthly for large jury verdicts, and has even caught the attention of Super Lawyers, who named him a 2012 Rising Star on their “Top 100 Maryland Lawyers” list.

Mr. Lynn attended the University of Maryland on a full scholarship, earning a bachelor’s degree criminology and criminal justice in 2003, and the Columbus School of Law in Washington for his Juris Doctorate in 2007.

In only a few years with the firm, Mr. Lynn has already built a legacy of successful cases. From going the extra mile to collect evidence that helped convince a jury in a traffic accident case, to leading several major construction injury cases that involved complex liability issues, he is known as a tough, detailed and smart litigator.

Early Years

In addition to his considerable legal accomplishments, Mr. Lynn’s more precocious achievements extend to the field of biology. When just 17 years old, Mr. Lynn cloned and sequenced a previously undiscovered virus while working with the USDA. Then, at age 19, while studying at the University of Maryland, he was handpicked to participate in a three-week research project in Australia, where he studied the Great Barrier Reef.

Outside the Courtroom

Mr. Lynn is a father and fan of the outdoors. When not in the office, he enjoys traveling, hiking, camping and whitewater rafting. Mr. Lynn also spent much of his childhood in Germany, and speaks the language fluently as a result. Mr. Lynn continues to travel extensively in Europe as well as Southeast Asia.
